Using Mattevia

Mattevia offers background removal, before-and-after comparison, transparent or solid-color backgrounds, canvas options and image export. These terms describe the current public tool. For questions, contact the Mattevia team at hello@mattevia.com.

Trial processing and paid credits

Single-image trials are subject to the usage and image limits shown in the interface. When welcome credits are enabled, a newly verified account receives the configured one-time credit grant. Anonymous usage and account credits are independent. Anonymous limits may be shared by people using the same network. Gifted and purchased credits use the same processing rules and can both be used for batch processing. Do not create accounts to bypass usage limits.

Paid packs are available only when the pricing page offers an active checkout. They are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. A processing task uses one credit; confirmed failed tasks restore the reserved credit. Repeated downloads of an existing result do not cost another credit. An account page or balance alone is not an offer of a purchasable plan. See our refund policy.

Your images and results

Upload only images you have permission to process. Keep your original and inspect the exported result before using it. The tool does not grant rights to third-party images or guarantee acceptance by a marketplace, identity-document authority or other recipient.

Image access and retention follow the mode selected when the task is created. In public-link mode, originals, results and comparison previews use hard-to-guess links: anyone who obtains a link can read the image without signing in. Originals are not deleted after processing, and scheduled cleanup for these files is not yet enabled. This does not guarantee permanent storage. Earlier private tasks retain their original owner-only access and 24-hour recovery window, including their original cleanup policy; expiry does not guarantee physical deletion at the exact expiry time. Closing the page or resetting the workspace does not delete a stored server result.

After the image reaches your browser, changing colors, exporting and downloading again use the local image without re-uploading it. Download results you want to keep. Account history and temporary recovery are not a permanent image library.

Output and availability

Fine hair, translucent materials, shadows and low-contrast edges can produce imperfect results. Images may be resized or rejected according to displayed limits. We do not guarantee a fixed processing time, uninterrupted availability or compatibility with every photo.

Cancellation stops delivery to the page, but processing may continue briefly while cleanup finishes. Closing the page alone is not a cancellation request.

PNG and WebP can preserve transparency. JPG export uses a solid background. Support for HEIC/HEIF input means those images can be processed for background removal; a background-preserving standalone conversion tool is not currently offered here.
